Day 2, Saturday: VILNIUS. OPTIONAL: EXCURSION TO TRAKAI (50 KM)

City tour in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, which is more than 600 years old. The tour includes the following sights: the Peter and Paul Church, the Gediminas Castle, the Cathedral Square with the Cathedral and the Bell Tower, St. Bernard Garden, the Anna and Bernardine churches, Amber Gallery museum with berstone schnapps tasting, the oldest district of Vilnius Užupis, which was already mentioned in historical sources of the 16th century and has now turned into a true republic of artists: with its own administration,  Constitution, anthem, traditions and festivals, a stop on Subaciaus Street to take a look at the Old Town from the observation deck, the Church of St. Theresa, the Gate of Dawn with the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, the Town Hall Square and the Vilnius University (1579) with the Church of St. John. Optional: Afternoon excursion to Trakai (25 km from Vilnius), the former capital of the Lithuanian Grand Duchy. The tour includes a visit to Trakai Castle. It consists of the impressive complex of defensive fortifications from the 15th century, built on an island in Lake Galve. Today this castle houses the Art and History Museum with the exposition of the Karaites, a small ethnic minority who still live in Trakai today. Afterwards visit  to the Ensambles of the Užutrakis estate.  The aristocratic estate and park of Užutrakis were designed on the threshold of the 19th and 20th centuries by the Polish architect J. Hus and the famous French landscape architect and botanist E. F. Andre.  Return to Vilnius. Day 3, Sunday: VILNIUS – PAKRUOJIS ESTATE – MOUNTAIN OF CROSSES - RIGA (320km)

Departure to Riga, the capital of Latvia.  On the way, rest of the break on the grounds of the Pakruojis estate, the largest listed manor house in Lithuania.  The property belonged to the german Lithuanian Ropp family from 1780 to 1940 and consists of 43 individual buildings. Walk in the spacious park. Optional Culinary enjoyment package:  Tasting of typical snacks in the local pub. The next stop is at the Hill of Crosses (12 km from Siauliai), in an unforgettable place with thousands of crosses on two hills. Continue to Latvia. Arrival Riga. Accommodation in the hotel. Day 4, Monday: RIGA. OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO JURMALA (50 km)

Riga City Tour. In the combined tour by bus and on foot, the most famous sights of Riga are planned: driving through the central boulevards and city parks of Riga, Bastion Hill, Powder Tower, Latvian National Theatre, Art Museum, Art Nouveau buildings from the beginning of the 20th century, the Statue of Liberty, the University of Latvia, the Latvian National Opera House and the Daugava River.  Visit to the famous market halls of Riga. The largest and most important market in Latvia, the so-called "belly of Riga" is housed in five gigantic halls next to the main railway station and is popular for its colourful, bustling hustle and bustle.  During the walk in the Old Town you will enjoy the beauty of the ancient Hanseatic city: picturesque streets of the Old Town, the Cathedral Church, St. Peter's Church, the old half-timbered houses, the Swedish Gate, St. Jacob's Church, Mary Magdalene Church, the Parliament House, the Old Castle of Riga. The tour includes: Toompea Castle, the Cathedral (13th century), the Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (19th century), the Town Hall Square (15th century), the Catherine Passage, where artists of the Catherine Guild exhibit their works and the Church of St. Olaf.
